AT THE U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006!

03/18/06

The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006, scheduled for August 12-13, 2006 at the Fairplex in Pomona, will be an event the whole family can enjoy and experience, just as in previous years. R-P.A.G.E., Inc., organizers of this year's grand cultural affair, has an array of activities lined up to assure a successful event. It is the goal of R-P.A.G.E., Inc. to make the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO a household name within the community.

"We are overjoyed with the progress that we have made thus far," exclaimed Russell Panopio, President of R-P.A.G.E., Inc. "Our team has been working diligently, and it is a pleasure to be able to work with my siblings to make our vision a reality." Genevieve Caton, Director of Operations, further added, "We are in the process of finalizing the details of the anticipated components of this year's expo, the Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Competition, the Great Achievers Awards, and the singing contest, just to name a few." We are currently accepting applications for the Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Competition, as well as nominations for the Great Achievers Awards." You can be this years Ms. or Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 if you are a single Filipino or Filipino-American between 18-25 years of age with good moral character, presently enrolled in high school or college, or employed full time or part time. Prospective competitors must possess intelligence, talent, personality, and attractiveness. The winner will receive a cash prize, as well as exciting gifts and opportunities.

The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Great Achievers Awards aims to highlight Filipino-Americans whom have distinguished themselves in their chosen field. Awardees can range from the entertainment, finance, medicine, sports, law, to community service industries. "We invite the community to nominate or submit names of individuals who they feel have excelled in their chosen career," said Ragsdale Panopio, Public Relations Director. Honoring our fellow Filipinos whom have accomplished great things has always been a part of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO and recognition of these individual successes will continue.

"The singing contest is another component to look forward to," declared Rutherford Panopio, C.E.O. There will be five venues in which singers can compete to become finalists in the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Singing Contest. The first venue will be in the Los Angeles and Glendale areas; second, the Cerritos, Buena Park and Artesia areas; third in the West Covina, Diamond Bar, and Rowland Heights areas; fourth, the Lakewood and Bellflower Area; and the fifth, Carson, Long Beach and Gardena Areas. From each venue, two individuals will have the opportunity to advance to the finals, which will be held during the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006.

R-P.A.G.E., Inc. is determined and committed to make this event a successful comeback. The organizers of this celebrated occasion are encouraged by the positive feedback from the community and past exhibitors. They look forward to seeing their fellow kababayans at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006!
