The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006, scheduled for August 12-13,
2006 at the Fairplex in Pomona, will be an event the whole
family can enjoy and experience, just as in previous years.
R-P.A.G.E., Inc., organizers of this year's grand cultural
affair, has an array of activities lined up to assure a successful
event. It is the goal of R-P.A.G.E., Inc. to make the U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO a household name within the community.
"We are overjoyed with the progress that we have made
thus far," exclaimed Russell Panopio, President of R-P.A.G.E.,
Inc. "Our team has been working diligently, and it is
a pleasure to be able to work with my siblings to make our
vision a reality." Genevieve Caton, Director of Operations,
further added, "We are in the process of finalizing the
details of the anticipated components of this year's expo,
the Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Competition, the
Great Achievers Awards, and the singing contest, just to name
a few." We are currently accepting applications for the
Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Competition, as well
as nominations for the Great Achievers Awards." You can
be this years Ms. or Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 if you
are a single Filipino or Filipino-American between 18-25 years
of age with good moral character, presently enrolled in high
school or college, or employed full time or part time. Prospective
competitors must possess intelligence, talent, personality,
and attractiveness. The winner will receive a cash prize,
as well as exciting gifts and opportunities.
The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Great Achievers Awards aims
to highlight Filipino-Americans whom have distinguished themselves
in their chosen field. Awardees can range from the entertainment,
finance, medicine, sports, law, to community service industries.
"We invite the community to nominate or submit names
of individuals who they feel have excelled in their chosen
career," said Ragsdale Panopio, Public Relations Director.
Honoring our fellow Filipinos whom have accomplished great
things has always been a part of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO
and recognition of these individual successes will continue.
"The singing contest is another component to look forward
to," declared Rutherford Panopio, C.E.O. There will be
five venues in which singers can compete to become finalists
in the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Singing Contest. The first
venue will be in the Los Angeles and Glendale areas; second,
the Cerritos, Buena Park and Artesia areas; third in the West
Covina, Diamond Bar, and Rowland Heights areas; fourth, the
Lakewood and Bellflower Area; and the fifth, Carson, Long
Beach and Gardena Areas. From each venue, two individuals
will have the opportunity to advance to the finals, which
will be held during the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006.
R-P.A.G.E., Inc. is determined and committed to make this
event a successful comeback. The organizers of this celebrated
occasion are encouraged by the positive feedback from the
