Set for August 12-13, 2006, at the Fairplex in Pomona, the
U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO promises an event worth the anticipation.
R-P.A.G.E., Inc., organizers of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO
has continuously encouraged community involvement in preparation
for the event. “We’ve actively promoted the components
of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO with everyone in mind. We want
everyone to enjoy the event, while taking part in its success,
with us,” Russell Panopio, President of R-P.A.G.E.,
Inc. stated. Just to name some of the aspects, of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO, that involve the community include the Singing Star
Competition, Great Achievers Award, Kids Corner, Salute to
Our Troops, and of course the Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO Competition.
As a matter of fact, the search for Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO still continues. Candidates for the Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO 2006 Competition must submit applications to enter, as
soon as possible. Remember, the competition is free! The competition
aims to recognize intelligent and talented individuals. Candidates
must meet the following criteria: Filipino or Filipino-American
of good moral character; must be between 18-25 years of age;
and must either be employed full time or part time or be enrolled
in high school or college. The presentation of candidates
will take place on July 8, 2006, at the Shilo Inns Suites
in Pomona, in preparation for the Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO
Competition, on August 12-13, 2006, where the winner will
earn her title, crown, prizes, and many gifts and opportunities.
The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO’s efforts in creating a positive
influence on the community doesn’t end with the many
exciting activities of the event. A percentage of ticket sale
proceeds will go towards the Beautiful Day Foundation, a non-profit
organization, inspired and founded by Daylani S. Rollich (Oct.
13, 1973 – Feb. 20, 2006), that aims to serve and support
young women, and their loved ones, battling breast cancer;
the organization’s primary goal is to educate women,
35 years and under, about this disease. For more information

In
addition to the many components of the U.S.- PHILIPPINES EXPO,
expect further entertainment during the Show of Shows starring
Nora Aunor, Judy Ann Santos, and Ryan Agoncillo. Also, enjoy
performances by Florante, Long Espina, and Carina Afable,
as well as cultural entertainers.
