It is undeniable. The goal, of bringing more exhibitors
and getting an outpour of community support, looks very promising
and inspiring, exclaimed Genevieve Caton. The Director
of Operations further stated that a variety of companies will
promote their products and services at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO, scheduled for August 12-13, 2006 at the Fairplex in
Pomona. She declared that, Some of the participants
the community can expect to see at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO
range from banking institutions, mortgage, investment, insurance,
security, airlines, and communications companies, auto dealerships,
manufacturers, recruiting agencies, schools, as well as exhibitors
from the Philippines, just to name a few.
Mr.
Yusuke Tokashiki, Vice President of Sales and Licensing of
Tomy Yujin Corporation (TYC), expressed his enthusiasm about
the companys involvement in the expo (see left picture).
TYC is a toy manufacturer with great insight on miniature
collectibles and vending. They provide small business sectors
and individuals income opportunities. TYC believes their association
in this years U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO as mutually beneficial
to their company and the Filipino-American community, both
young and old.
Russell Panopio, President of R-P.A.G.E., Inc, organizers
of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, proclaimed his optimism on the
ambitious come back of this grand cultural and consumer show.
Russell, along with his siblings, is working diligently to
assure the Filipino-American community a wholesome and successful
event. We are finalizing the line up for the events
Show of Shows. Undoubtedly, we invited our Lolo,
Fred Panopio, said Ragsdale Panopio, Director of Public
Relations. An announcement of entertainers from the Philippines
is coming soon. Components of this anticipated event include
The Great Achievers Awards, Singing Contest, Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES
EXPO, and Mr. U.S.-PHLIPPINES EXPO, in addition to the products
and services exhibits.
Being crowned Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO is an honor in itself;
moreover, Showing excellence within the criteria does
have its incentives, said Ruben S. Panopio, Jr., Founder
of the original U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO. He added, The
winners of this years pageant will receive a cash prize
and an array of exciting gifts. All prospective candidates
must be a Filipino or Filipino-American, of good moral character,
between18-25 years of age, and must either be employed full
time or part time or be enrolled in high school or college.
As for the Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO Competition, in
its 2006 debut, we seek the same qualities, said Genevieve.
Both Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO will be judged according
to intelligence, talent, personality, and looks.
