U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO'S AMBITIOUS COME BACK!

03/11/06

“It is undeniable. The goal, of bringing more exhibitors and getting an outpour of community support, looks very promising and inspiring,” exclaimed Genevieve Caton. The Director of Operations further stated that a variety of companies will promote their products and services at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, scheduled for August 12-13, 2006 at the Fairplex in Pomona. She declared that, “Some of the participants the community can expect to see at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO range from banking institutions, mortgage, investment, insurance, security, airlines, and communications companies, auto dealerships, manufacturers, recruiting agencies, schools, as well as exhibitors from the Philippines, just to name a few.”

Mr. Yusuke Tokashiki, Vice President of Sales and Licensing of Tomy Yujin Corporation (TYC), expressed his enthusiasm about the company’s involvement in the expo (see left picture). TYC is a toy manufacturer with great insight on miniature collectibles and vending. They provide small business sectors and individuals income opportunities. TYC believes their association in this year’s U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO as mutually beneficial to their company and the Filipino-American community, both young and old.

Russell Panopio, President of R-P.A.G.E., Inc, organizers of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, proclaimed his optimism on the ambitious come back of this grand cultural and consumer show. Russell, along with his siblings, is working diligently to assure the Filipino-American community a wholesome and successful event. “We are finalizing the line up for the event’s ‘Show of Shows.’ Undoubtedly, we invited our Lolo, Fred Panopio,” said Ragsdale Panopio, Director of Public Relations. An announcement of entertainers from the Philippines is coming soon. Components of this anticipated event include The Great Achiever’s Awards, Singing Contest, Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, and Mr. U.S.-PHLIPPINES EXPO, in addition to the products and services exhibits.

Being crowned Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO is an honor in itself; moreover, “Showing excellence within the criteria does have its incentives,” said Ruben S. Panopio, Jr., Founder of the original U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO. He added, “The winners of this year’s pageant will receive a cash prize and an array of exciting gifts.” All prospective candidates must be a Filipino or Filipino-American, of good moral character, between18-25 years of age, and must either be employed full time or part time or be enrolled in high school or college.

“As for the Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO Competition, in its 2006 debut, we seek the same qualities,” said Genevieve. Both Ms. and Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO will be judged according to intelligence, talent, personality, and looks.

To join either the Ms. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2006 Pageant or the Mr. U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO Competition, please submit your biographic data to: R-P.A.G.E., Inc. at 20806 S. Western Avenue Ste. 2. Torrance, CA 90501.
