PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS

I remember the historic event vividly…the coming to life of one man's vision of gathering Filipino-Americans from all over the United States in one great venue.

The U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO aimed to create an awareness of the vast market potential of the Filipino-American community, to instill and nourish the Filipino culture for new generations of Filipino-Americans, to stimulate cultural exchange between the United States and the Philippines, and to promote the beauty of the Filipino heritage. This dream became a reality at the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO at the Fairplex, Pomona in 1993. The community responded with tremendous vitality.

Today, with passion and perseverance, I, along with my siblings, all children of Ruben S. Panopio, Jr., founder of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, dedicate our efforts to the continued acknowledgement of Filipino-Americans as instrumental contributors to the United States. Realizing the full potential of the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO, in the past, present, and future, as the bridge connecting mainstream corporate America and the Philippines business sectors, results in the excellence of positive cultural exchange.

With gratitude, I thank all supporters of the Annual U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO for their commitment. I invite you to join us, once again, on August 9-10 for the U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2008!

Sincerely,

Russell F. Panopio
President
