TOP TWO (2) CONTESTANTS FROM EACH VENUE WILL MOVE ON TO THE FINALS DURING THE U.S.-PHILIPPINES EXPO 2008. CHECK-IN TIME is 30 mins prior to competition. Contestant must arrive promptly to avoid disqualification. Competitions will begin at 6 p.m. and at 8 p.m. SHARP.

Qualifications:

- Must be an amateur Filipino or Filipino-American talent
- Must be a California resident
- Must be between 10-15 years of age for the Junior Singing Star Competition
- Must be between 16-30 years of age for the Singing Star Competition
- Must provide valid proof of I.D.

Contestants will be judged according to voice quality, pitch, tempo, diction, dynamics, showmanship, and professional appearance.

Candidate's Qualifications:

- A single Filipino or Filipino-American of good moral character
- Between 18-25 years of age
- Employed full time or part time or be enrolled in high school or college
- Must be a legal resident of the United States
- Must provide valid proof of I.D.

Contestants will be judged according to intelligence, talent, personality, and attractiveness
